Life in the Best Household...

We are still alive...barely, but we're breathing. Spring football is over just in time for Billy to leave on Sunday for 2 weeks to go to California to go recruiting. We have had all the guys over once for dinner so far this semester. They hung out and played on the Wii and watched the new TV. They also helped Billy take the top off of my new (it's an '04, but it's new to me) jeep and helped us look for Boudreaux when he decided to take a tour of the town.

We are currently in the process of sanding down all of our dressers so that we can refinish them all the same color. Let's just say it is definitely a work in progress, but we are getting closer to being to a point where we can sand them one final time and then stain them. Once we get that finished we are going to embark upon making a one of a kind head board for our bed. I am super excited about it. Mom and I just got finished with our new bedspread. I forgot what it's like to make linens for a king size bed...definitely a two person job.

Rocky and Boudreaux are great. They both got their shots and check-ups in January and they are healthy as can be. Now if we could just break them of pooping in the house...anyone got any suggestions? They are always good for a laugh.

We had a great time in Colorado over Christmas and also at Billy's mom's for Easter. It was nice to get away for awhile. A little crazy as far as making such long trips in such small amounts of time, but we had a blast.

I can't believe that we've been married almost a year already. I'm kinda bummed b/c Billy will be in California for our anniversary, but he's missed all the other important days this year, so why not make it a clean sweep! :) Just part of being married to a football coach. Wouldn't trade it for the world most days.

Mom and I are making lots of head way on the scrapbooking. I am almost caught up on just random stuff that I already had printed off, which mind you is somewhere around 500 pictures. Still lots more to go, but making progress. I have got to get all of Billy's pictures from football season done, or before I know it next season is going to be here and I am going to be way behind.

I am on a mission to lose weight. I went to a Zumba class this morning at the Town Club and I have to say, that is the most fun I have had in a long time working out. Granted I am a white girl through and through and have no rhythm, but it was still a lot of fun.

We got a Wii and a new flat screen TV with part of our tax return and paid off debt with the rest of it. So far, Tiger Woods golf, bowling, and Guitar Hero are our favorite games. We have had lots of fun with it and it's a fun alternative to going to watch a movie.

I started playing in a Bunko group in January with a bunch of girls from church and a few other random girls. It has been such a blessing and has been so much fun! We are always guaranteed to have lots of laughs and it's been fun to see everyone's competitive side come out.

I guess that's about it. Not a lot has happened, but so much has happened in the last six months. Hopefully I will be better about updating on here. Enjoy!

Boudreaux hanging out of the Jeep as usual...he always has to wear his seatbelt when the top is off or else he will bail out the side!

Rain...

I remember as a kid knowing in my heart of hearts that when it rained God was crying because something bad had happened. As a 26 year old woman...or at least I like to think I've become a woman...that same thought was extremely comforting to me this morning. We hurt so bad for that precious little family and the rain was a comfort. I'm emotionally spent at this point, not knowing whether I actually have the strength to cry another tear or not. We hung around forever at work, not wanting to leave, but knowing things would be ever so different when we came back. This will be number 7 this year...Lord, when is it going to end? When are our babies going to actually get well? Thank you for the rain Jesus as a reminder that you do hurt with us and your mourn with us.
