Car Keys

Please pray that we find my car keys tomorrow or that someone found them tonight and turns them in. I lost them at the football game tonight and the only key that we have for the Jeep is on them. I am stressing out big time. Not the ending to the weekend that I wanted.

Just around the corner...

Well, football season is literally just around the corner. Abilene and Northwest Missouri kick off the season tonight. This is the one game this year in which I will root for ACU. We kick off the season on Saturday night. I've had butterflies and knots in my stomach for a week and a half now over this game. I know our guys will play their hearts out and hopefully we will win.

Work has been SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO stinking slow these last couple of weeks. I am not rooting for people's kids to get sick by any means, but I'm ready to claw my eyes out b/c of boredom most nights. Thankfully NICU is busy, so we are at least still getting to work and getting our hours in. The Lord has definitely been faithful to provide these last couple of weeks.

Billy and I have set up a budget and are trying to stick to it...so far so good...we've only been at it a week though!!! It helps that we both are really busy and don't have time to spend a lot of money, and limiting our budget for eating out has helped drastically also. We are splurging this week and getting our bikes worked on though. It's finally cooling off enough that we can ride them and not die of a heat stroke in the process.

I have one more night of work this week and I must admit I am rather excited about it. I am exhausted and hoping that I sleep as well today as I did yesterday. We'll see. Guess I'm not ever going to sleep well if I don't go to bed, so to bed I go.

Music to my ears...

I didn't manage to make it to the scrimmage Saturday morning. I decided that since I slept through my alarm for 30 minutes, that maybe God was trying to tell me I should be sleeping instead of at the scrimmage. I was sad, but come 1:00 Saturday morning when I was at work and was actually awake, I was thankful that I had slept. I did, however, make it out to practice last night. I love listening to our guys coach and to hear helmets smacking each other is music to my ears. Can't wait for Aug 29th. That's the first game of the season.

We once again have a coach living w/ us. I swear that my husband thinks we should run a bed and breakfast at our house. I was just thankful that Billy had gotten him set up on the futon instead of on the couch b/c I got to come home at 2:00am on Saturday night and I was worried about scaring him to death when I came in the front door. At least Billy warned me about him coming this time instead of just surprising me with someone sleeping on our couch like he's done the last two times. I at least had a chance to clean the bathroom and sweep up all the dog hair from everywhere.

Not much else going on here. I have a lunch date w/ three of my favorite ladies today and then I am going to stop by to see my friend Lora's little girls for a little bit. Hopefully I'll be as successful at getting the house cleaned as I want to be today. For now I am going to go back to bed and sleep a little longer. One of these days I'll get to work days again and get to be on a normal person's schedule instead of this crazy psycho flip flop back and forth mess that I do now! Until then, at least I have an excuse for being crazy...don't know what I'm going to do when I can't blame it on working nights anymore!

It's here!!!!

Preseason Scrimmage today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm more excited this year about football season than I think I have been in the last 4 years, but for what reason I do not know. Off to bed to take a short nap before the scrimmage.

Two posts in one week....

I know...shocker right...two posts in one week. My goal is to be more consistent with my posting. We'll see if that happens.

I had a great time in Oklahoma w/ Ashley and Amy and their kids. It was a great get away and marks one week of two-a-days being over. Only two more weeks to go and then we get to start with the "normal" football season schedule...whatever that is!!!

Just working this week and Bunko on Thursday. On that note, if you ever get invited to be part of a bunko group say yes!!! It is a great time of fellowship and a definitely highlight of every month for me.

Well, since it's already after nine and I am supposed to meet a girl from work at 4:30 to work out, I am thinking I should go to bed. Until later

Two-a-days already??????

I can't believe that it's already August and that my hubby started two-a-days this week. Holy moly! I was telling him the other day that for someone who still had to work a full-time job this summer, I sure did feel like a teacher or something w/ all the traveling we did. I am almost relieved that football season is here since it means we actually will have a "normal" schedule again. We have gone non-stop all summer long and while I have loved it, I am stinkin' exhausted.

Not much new going on around here other than our house has been turned into a bed and breakfast for coaches all summer...or at least that's what I feel like. We have had several different coaches live with us throughout the course of the summer and while I love having people over and TOTALLY don't mind at all, I have to admit there were days when I was like, can a girl just not go without her bra at home for one night!!! :) I know Billy enjoyed having those guys here though as it kept him entertained at night while I was gone to work, and I was a much better housekeeper/cook while they were here also!

Gotta get off of here...I am headed to Oklahoma for my one last trip of the summer. Going to stay with some friends and take their kids to the water park tomorrow. Super excited to hang out with them.
