How Far Along: 26 weeks
Size of Babies: Both are about 2 pounds with Brady being slightly bigger than Hannah
Wt. Gain/Loss: I have gained 9 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight, but I lost 22 in the first trimester so I'm making progress
Clothes: Still in lots of non-maternity shirts and dresses, but definitely maternity pants...this week it's been lots of sweats b/c it's been so dang cold!!
Gender: A boy and a girl
Movement: They are all over the place!! 4 am is usually their most active time of the day which makes me a little nervous for after they get here!!
What I Miss: Having energy...sleeping for more than 2-3 hours straight @ a time.
Sleep: yeah...on that subject...My body is definitely in preparation mode for after the babies get here I am pretty sure b/c I only sleep 2-3 hours @ a time and then I'm awake for who knows how long. Sometimes I can just get up and go to the bathroom and go back to bed and fall asleep fairly quickly, and then other times, I am awake for 2-3 hours before I fall back asleep.
Symptoms: swelling in my hands and feet and just being tired...
Cravings/Dislikes: Chips and Hot Sauce, HUDS Cherry Limeades and chocolate cupcakes w/ icing and sprinkles
Best Moment: Having my doctor telling me that things are going much better than his normal twin pregnancies usually do and that the babies both looked great and had grown quite a bit in the last 2 weeks.
I was excited when I went to the doctor yesterday and I had gained 4 pounds. (Pretty darn proud of myself actually!!) He said that both babies looked good and that he was really pleased with how things are progressing. He did, however, limit me to only working 2 days a week just because we are SOOOOO busy @ work right now. RSV is bad this year and we've been really busy, so most nights I am only my feet the majority of the night. For right now I am going to keep doing my Thur/Fri schedule and drop Sundays, but I may have to split those days up eventually. Thankfully I have learned from others struggles and have stuff in place to cover all the days that I am going to miss. Most importantly, thank heavens that Billy got a raise this year!! That is going to be such a lifesaver for us!!
To sum up this week I have one word...COLD!!!!! I don't remember it ever having been this cold up here. We haven't reached double digit temps since Monday and we've been below zero by several degrees every night. The depressing part is that we have nothing to show for all the coldness...no ice, no snow, no nothing!!! Thankfully minus having to pick up the kids from school and my doctor's appointment yesterday I have been able to stay holed up @ home where it's been nice and warm.
Yesterday was National Signing Day, and in our house, that's a BIG deal. Billy is finally going to be home for a whole weekend without anything on his plate. (minus working on the honey-do list that has been growing since December...) We start spring football Feb. 15, so the break is a short one for him, but that means that off season starts earlier this year, which will be nice for us. That way if and when I do go on bed rest, he will have a little more freedom to come home during the day if I need him to, and he won't be having to work as many late nights. I'm excited!!!! Hopefully we can get started on the nursery soon. I am getting anxious to get started and see everything come together. I have this picture in my head...just hope it turns out that way once we start putting it all together!!! :) I am headed to the post office today to mail their blankets to my MIL so that she can quilt them and I ordered the forms for their bumper pads the other day, so hopefully those come in quickly and we can get started on those.
These are their blankets that my mom made for them. Can't wait to have precious babies to wrap up in them. The walls in their room are going to be the lime green above the chair rail and then the below the chair rail it will be black and all the furniture is white. I can't wait to see it all put together!!
I go back to the doctor in 2 weeks and then it sounds like he's going to make me come in once a week after that. Which is just fine with me b/c that means I get to take a peek @ my sweet babies every week instead of just every other week. :) Hopefully we'll keep getting good reports and sail through the next 12 weeks!!!!

Cute blankets! I can't believe that's all you've gained with twins!! You're doing great! I hope you can get some rest... sleeping 2-3 hours at a time is no fun!!
